What We Do

At Happy House Behavioral Valley, we cater to adult clients who need assistance in addressing their behavioral health issues and psychosocial needs. We know that every client has a unique set of requirements, and thus, we customize our services to ensure that the services we offer them are suitable for their situation. We do this by letting them undergo an assessment that allows us to map out their needs and what we need to focus on each session. This way, we can be more guided in selecting treatment options that can help improve their health and ability to manage their symptoms.

Clients can rest assured that everything they disclose during sessions is kept confidential.

We offer the following services:

Individual Counseling

Many individuals benefit from one-on-one sessions with their behavioral health care provider. During these sessions, they talk about clients' conditions, situations, symptoms, and other internal and external factors that may affect the client's condition. As sessions progress, clients will be guided into identifying negative thoughts and behaviors that are causing an impediment in their health and will then be supported in learning coping strategies that will lessen the effects of their symptoms in their daily lives.

Family & Group Counseling

Family and group counseling both involve sessions wherein a group of people meets to talk about their issues with the goal of successfully managing them through counseling. What sets them apart is that family counseling involves family members seeking to resolve the issues within the family to regain a sense of harmony and peace among its members. Group counseling, on the other hand, involves unrelated individuals who meet to share their experiences and listen to others and share their own. It aims to help clients learn from others' experiences and feel that they are supported and that they are not alone.

Case Management and Connecting Members to Community Resources

Many of our clients need more than just behavioral health services. They also require access to resources that can help them further improve the quality of their lives and overall health. For cases like these, we have Case Managers who are always willing to assist. They are well-connected with community resources which they may help clients access. The services and opportunities they may avail vary, but they generally include community participation, social relationships, housing, employment, and more.

Peer Support

Peer support can be provided to individuals with various needs. The way it is provided and the frequency a person receives it differs. While this may be the case, the goal of this service is the same. And that's to give support to individuals that need it. This may come in the form of sharing one's knowledge, offering practical assistance, providing emotional support, and more. Peer support has been seen as effective for people dealing with anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship issues, grief, and other behavioral health issues.

Psychoeducation

The main purpose of psychoeducation is to help clients understand their diagnoses, their implications on their lives, and the healthy ways to manage them. This is a crucial factor of every behavioral service since, apart from knowing their condition, they'll also be guided in identifying their own areas of strength and their coping abilities, which are essential in helping them take control of their symptoms. With a full understanding of their condition, the behavioral professional and client can work together to identify the challenges and find effective ways to cope with them in their daily lives.

Life Skills

The life skills approach utilizes instructional methods that help clients cope with their psychosocial problems more effectively. This service may be offered in a one-on-one setting, with one of our counselors, or in a small group. During these sessions, complex problems are broken down into manageable learning lessons that will, with guided repetition, eventually be retained by the client. Apart from learning skills, life skills therapy aims to help clients restore skills that clients may have been able to do before but have been abandoned due to behavioral health issues. Among its benefits are communication skills improvement, managing and reducing stress, goal setting, and self-management.
